The ship
An ideal opportunity to get away from the busier parts of Halong Bay and experience some of the lesser visited areas. Created by Nature over 500 million years, Halong Bay is a 1,553 sq. km bay containing 1,960 islands and islets that jut imperiously out of the water and tower over the cruise boats that ply their trade here.
Some parts of the bay get very busy, but the Dragon Legend Cruise Halong takes you to Bai Tu Long Bay, which is a little known bay within a bay. Your floating home for this trip is the Dragon, a traditionally built wooden junk. The interior design is a beautiful representation of Vietnamese cultural design.
From the superbly appointed cabins, to the fabulous restaurants and well stocked bar on this modern boat, everything is tastefully decorated in a style that hints back to ancient Vietnam. The 24 cabins are wood panelled, spacious and beautifully finished. With modern fittings sitting well alongside traditional old culture.
The talented chef serves amazing Vietnamese cuisine in either the air-conditioned restaurant or al fresco, on deck. 08.30– 09.00: Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter
12.00 – 12.30: Embark at HaLong International harbor.
12.30 – 13.00: Check-in, enjoy the welcome drink & cruise briefing.
13.30 – 14.30: Have lunch in the outdoor dining room (depending on the weather condition) while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay, admire the fascinating formations on the way.
15.30 – 16.30: Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic rowboat, meet the local people, and pass through the floating school and fish farms.
16.45 – 19.00: Back to junk for refreshing before having dinner on board.
19.00 – 20.30: Elegant dinner served onboard.
20.30 – 11.30: Free time for relaxing, socializing together with the crew team, evening activities (watching movies, listening to music, squid fishing…). Overnight on Bai Tu Long Bay.

08.00 – 08.30: Cruise to Cong Dam while discovering the geological values of Bai Tu Long Bay.
